I’m slowly introducing you all to our panel of Hysteria 2012 Short Story and Poetry Competition Judges. I’ve asked them all the same six questions and there are some surprising answers. Our fifth judge is … Marian Folan and here she tells you a little more about herself.
Tell me one thing no-one knows about you.
I honestly cannot think of anything to tell you about me that nobody else knows!
What do you enjoy reading the most and why?
I enjoy reading historical novels the best because I like to read about people’s lives and especially about what life was like in times past.
If there was one book or piece of writing you wish you had written what would it be?
I think it would be Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s poem, “How do I Love Thee? Let me count the ways.” It is just so beautiful and sincere and written from the heart.
What prompted you to volunteer to be a judge in Hysteria 2012?
Two reasons: I like to help when I can. Also, someone recently told me that I write well and she thought I should write a book.
Have you written a book or a poem? If so what is the title and where can we find it (if it’s available to buy)?
If there was a film of your life who would play you and why?
Renee Zellweger, because she is such a good actress. She is not typecast, so she could play any part.
