The 2017 competition will open to women of any nationality on 1st April 2017. If you’d like to be reminded of the dates just sign up to our newsletter below and grab a free copy of Hysteria 3 at the same time.
The Hysteria Writing Competition is run by, and supports the work of the Hysterectomy Association; a social enterprise providing information and support to women worldwide. We don’t want stories, flash fiction or poetry about Hysterectomy; instead, we are looking for entries that appeal to our website visitors, who are mostly women between the ages of 25ish and 65ish; we accept entries in any genre except erotica or horror.
All payments are to be made via the online shop and we accept entries as a .doc, .docx, rtf or txt format. No other file formats will be accepted and entries made using them will be disqualified.
Nine runners up in each category will be published in the anthology Hysteria, due for publication in November and will also receive a free e-copy of the anthology when it is published.
